We successfully wrapped up Workday Quiz #3, just before the start of Winter Break. The question we used turned out to be a bit tricky, as evidenced by a lower percentage of correct responses when compared to the first two challenge questions (see results below). The good news is this represents an opportunity for the project team to make thoughtful adjustments to our upcoming training efforts. There will no doubt be Workday concepts (e.g., no need for traditional paper forms), that when put into practice, have the potential to be less than intuitive from a user’s perspective.

Quiz #3 graphDespite the improved efficiencies of Workday, which paper form below will still need to be filled out manually by W&L employees?

A. The form for changing life insurance beneficiaries
B. Common tax forms (W-4 & VA-4)
C. Time-sheet forms
D. None of the above. All will be filled out in Workday.

Workday will eliminate most of the manual paper processes that faculty and staff have grown accustomed to over the years. The forms will be easy to locate, simple to complete, and can be quickly transmitted within a secure personal Workday portal. While it was surprising to many who completed the challenge question, forms for beneficiary designation and all tax questionnaires can be managed without the need for paper.
